Rauf Yusuf Damilare, also known as "DryGin Arole," is a fast-rising Nigerian sensational afrobeats hip-hop singer and songwriter whose name Drygin is so loud and larger than life in the bubbling city of Mainland Surulere, Lagos, where he commanded respect and superstar status as he lured many souls to his unique vocal world.

The Oyo state, Ibadan-born artiste attended Surulere Baptist School in Lagos State, Nigeria, where he wrote his First School Leaving Certificate, and proceeded to Iponri Estate High School, Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained his West Africa Senior School Certificate in 2010.
Drygin decided to pursue a career in music after completing his primary and secondary education. Although he started his music career in 2008 as a singer in secondary school with a three-piece group called ‘Ywise J’ before eventually starting to write his own songs and rising to fame after releasing his first vibration single ‘Enu Ose’ in 2010, which received nationwide critical acclaim, and immediately thrust Drygin into the limelight, earning him top spots and slots in all the country's music charts.
He stamped his prominence following the release of another hit single, 'METAMORPHOSIS,' in 2016, which catapulted his sensational mastery of music to new heights, accompanied by a stunning video that aired on all TV and cable networks.

Drygin, saw and conquered with many heartfelt and inspiring songs like; ‘Metamorphosis, Ase, Ahmen, Alubarika’ and more. Since Drygin Arole has risen to prominence, he has been a source of inspiration for many youngsters who listen to his music. His melodious voice is simply unsurpassed. His creative disciplines allowed him to have the perfect lyrics to keep his music ministry going.
He had a deep affinity for music as a child, especially Afro and inspirational music. He has featured in many songs together and has collaborated with various A-list artists in the Nigerian music industry such as Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, Seriki, Terry Apala, Famous Igboro, Minjin and some just to name a few.

Drygin, as he is affectionately known, developed a love for music at an early age. According to him, he was inspired while listening to prominent Nigerian and other great African musicians. He never tried to hide the fact that he was greatly influenced by a select group of well-known musicians like Dagrin, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Olamide, Sarkodie, Wizkid, 2face, Lucky Dube, Michael Jackson, Davido, Kizz Daniel. Since then, his enthusiasm for music has increased and translated into various musical experiences.
When asked why music, he said, “I found out I was gifted in it so I had to explore it. It’s my life, my hustle, my world”.
